Great Sailing

Not much to say today. We motored all night and the wind unexpectedly came up to 10-15 around 8 this morning so we shook out the sails, turned off the motor and had a great sail today.

Wonderful -- no noise and the boat motion is calmer. Either that or I'm doing a better job of balancing with the boat motion. No new bruises.

For dinner tonight we cooked hamburgers on the grill and gently sailed along. Almost dampens the memory of the first two very rough days into this trip.

Tonight Steve and I have the "graveyard shift" -- 7 - 11 pm and 3am - 7am. It's the worse.

Just a great day of why we are out here.

  1. Glad you had a good day of sailing after those less than stellar days. Hope you have more of them. Tell everyone hello from chilly NC. Supposed to be down in the 20s tomorrow night. You'll miss our first freeze. Love you. K
